Marmaris
Marmaris is one of the largest and best-developed of Turkey's resorts, located 100km from Dalaman airport, on the southwest coast.
The wide, palm-lined seafront promenade runs parallel to the extensive Marmaris Beach. The beach itself offers a long, narrow strip of dark volcanic sand overlooked by a jostling collection of bars, cafés and restaurants. A good range of motorised water-sports are available but all within the designated safety areas. The old quarter in Marmaris is a maze of narrow streets packed with old houses, tiny traditional bars along with the colourful shops and stalls of the bazaar, which leads you to the Netsel Marina where classy restaurants overlook sophisticated yachts.
Bar Street and the main promenade offer great bars and clubs for all of you looking for the late-night partying and dancing. The nightlife in Marmaris is as varied and vibrant as its hundreds of visitors.
Marmaris offers you so much to do that you will come back again. Sunbathing and water skiing, sailing and scuba diving and that's just on the beach. The twists and turns of the older part of Marmaris town are excellent for a relaxing stroll.
